What is happening to me?!

okay, so here's my story. I've been on birth control for about a year now. I've had no problems with blood clotting or anything like that.. My periods actually are very light most of the time.

Well, about a month ago, I decided to double up on my birth control and skip my period so that I would just get it the following month. It worked, but now all of a sudden I started bleeding when I'm on my last week of pills. But, my bleeding is very weird. I started with a brown discharge, and then it turned red the next day. I got really bad cramps and I began to have blood clots. I've never had serious clotting like this though. Even though i've only had two clots, they've been very large, and tissue-like. I looked my symptoms up online, and they're the same as a miscarriage! Did I have a miscarriage, or am I just having an irregular period because my cycle is all messed up now?
Does anyone know?

Re: What is happening to me?!

I know it's a fairly common thing to do nowadays, especially with the introduction of Lybrel and Seasonale on the market, but I'd still be leery with skipping periods for the fact that it seems like something to put your system severely out of whack. While I hold no particular expertise in this, I guess I would just assume that your body is trying to get itself back on track?

Re: What is happening to me?!

I experience all different colors, texture, etc. . . discharge while taking the pill. That happens to a lot of women. If you don't stop cramping hard in another day, and the clots and heavy discharge continue - go to the Dr. you may have had a miscarriage and/or tubal pregnancy, the Dr. will be able to tell and give you a D&C if you need one.

Re: What is happening to me?!

I started taking bc about 3 to 4 monthes ago and before the birth control I had really bad cramps and hard periods. now I still have cramps but only for the first day of my period, but my periods are really light and the discharges are pink and brown, and my breast get really sore the week before my last row of pills. It scares me because i don't know if im pg or not. my boyfriend and I use protection but it still scares me. I was wondering if this is all normal or not.
