Well that was a piece of cake!! I feel very silly indeed for being so scared!! I walked in, they had me get on my tummy face down on the table, they put some antiseptic cleaner on my back, sprayed some numbing stuff on the back, numbed me with lidocane, and the neurosurgeon talked to me the entire time he was doing the procedure, telling me exactly what he was doing, and asking me if I had any questions.
Next they put me on a guerney and moved me into the CT room and scanned me. It was over in a matter of seconds.
Then the neurosurgeon came to check on me and offered me a Dr. Pepper/Mtn Dew. Now we all know I accepted the Dr. Pepper. Then they observed me for 4 hours and sent me on my way home with strict instructions to sit or lay down most of today with very little walking.
I have some added back pressure but this really was a piece of cake and I was afraid for nothing.
I met with my surgeon on Tuesday to get the results in the morning then I have a 2nd opinion in the afternoon on Tuesday. I will provide an update then.
Thank you for coaching me thru this and Chatterbox NO HEADACHE!!
