Post big or small ice pack? for bunion & taylor surgery?

I found two ice packs at Wallmart. One for 7 bucks that is not that large. It has a sleeve to put the ice pack in and wraps with a strap. Now this small one just goes over the top of my foot.
Then I found a big one that was 18 bucks that also has a sleeve but the ice pack actually is so big that the entire pack wraps around my entire foot top and bottom and sides. Will I need to ice my ENTIRE foot or just the top where it covers my bunion and tailor bunion surgery?

I bought the small one that just goes around the foot. It worked great. I could even leave it on when I was up and around on crutches. I had an extra ice pack so there was always one in the freezer ready to use.

Thumbs up

Hi Cind,
When I had my surgery done, I was given a ice pack in the recovery room that I used the entire time...sounds similar to what you are talking about...if they give you one, then you will have two..so, thats even better.
