Question Hi from newbie and a question.

Hi from a newbie. I just had surgery on Sept. 15. I didn't quite catch the name of the procedure, but I believe it was a simple osteotomy. He just took out some bone, put the sesamoids back where they are supposed to be, put two screws in, and that's it. I was walking on the foot with the surgical boot three days after the surgery, and yesterday he took the stitches out. I'm healing "beautifully" he says, and there's no real pain anymore except for some discomfort at night. I'm doing all the toe exercises, etc.

But here's the weirdness. Even when I walk on it, the pads of my big toe and the two toes next to it don't touch the bootie! It looks like it's just because of all of the swelling in the ball of the foot, but still, it's weird. About how long did it take for your toes to all lie flat again? I feel like I'm walking on the outer two toes. It's just really strange. Thoughts?
