Hey!
I have never had an ingrown toenail, so I guess I am pretty lucky that way. But I have seen a couple procedures done in a podiatrists office. They numb the toe (they do use a needle), which I have heard is the worst part. And even that I have been told isn't too bad. It just stings for a second while it starts to numb so you don't even feel a thing. Then once its numb the Dr. removes the ingrown section and then bandages it up. And that's it! It takes about 10-15 minutes. If you are worried about how it will feel, just take along a CD player and concentrate on the music and you will be fine. Good luck if you have this done!

I hope this helped a little.
