Post toe injury after bunionectomy

I'm now 2 1/2 weeks postop from a right chevron bunionectomy. I have a screw and a disouble pin. Everything was going nicely until I dropped a ceramic bowl on my toe this morning in the kitchen. Talk about pain. It hit between my toenail and my incision. Bruising instantly in one area and causing a tender red bump right before my incision. I called the doctor and have an appointment this afternoon. I have been elevating and icing since. Hopefully I'm worried for nothing and didn't cause any damage.

Oh I am so glad you didn't cause any damage. I can't even imagine dropping something like that on my toe after surgery... ouch.
I am glad you are ok. Hugs, Polly

Thanks for the posts concerning my foot I am very glad it didn't cause any real damage. My foot looks and feels like it did a week ago (as far as swelling and soreness goes) Hopefully it will resolve soon and I can get on with my recovery as I am scheduled to have the left foot done on November 7.
