I would ask all of you to read this article, especially the last paragraph. It's called COMMON SENSE ABOUT BLOOD PRESSURE Pay attention to it, and use drugs only as a last resort. by John R. Lee, M.D.

The final paragraph says that High BP Meds do more harm than BP itself.

Thanks for providing this article! It's one of the most eye-opening things I've read on this subject for a long time. It also goes to show that not the entire medical profession is beholden to the drug companies. Excellent!

The report does not surprise me...these drugs are scary. But sadly so too is a stroke. I watched my mother die of a sudden high blood pressure induced stroke literally feet in front of me, and it has conditioned my desperate search to avoid a similar fate. I will continue to try and avoid meds at all cost, but sadly one has to balance these awful side effects with the very real risk of a far more awful death.

I'm sorry for your lost , but if those meds are harming us along with the damage that High BP causes what we can do?
You know it's very confusing and it drives me crazy . They say that Hypertension is a killer, others say that its meds are also killers.

Oh I agree. I have friends with BP stuck over 160/100 on 5 meds, and all the doctors tell them is "Well it would be higher without the meds." That's "progress."
