Indapamide should not be used with CCBs?

Hi,

In the last hour I really felt that I'm hot and sweating, have a headache and feeing bad. I know that it has to do with the 1.5mg Indapamide SR I added to my Diltiazem, for a better control of my blood pressure.

I was researching online and I came across something says that Indapamide appears to have a unique mechanism of action that combines diuretics effect with a direct vascular action, like secondary to calcium channel blockade.

I think it's not safe to be used with CCBs, maybe because it works in a similar mechanism which can be not safe for the body. I'm not sure if that makes sense but I feel so sick right now.
What do you think?
Michael

Re: Indapamide should not be used with CCBs?

I recently read in a book about the best & worst pills, that said that diuretics as well as beta blockers can cause heat retention somehow. I already have a problem with heat intolerance because I sweat very little & rarely so it's always "hot " for me.

The diuretic maybe contributing to your current symptoms. Flowergirl takes the same diuretic so maybe she will post in the next day.

How is your breathing-back to normal I hope? Fam

Re: Indapamide should not be used with CCBs?

Hi,

Today I feel better, maybe because it has been 22 hours on my diuretic dose. I'm not sure I will continue using this diuretic, I was better only using Diltiazem. I can't exercise and I can't breathe like before. It's sad that I can't find something to help control my blood pressure along with Diltiazem.
