Unhappy Need Suggestions For Yeast Infection Relief- Please HELP!!

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving the pain, burning, and itching associated with a yeast infection? Is there a cream that works particularly well or a soak that I should put in the bathtub??

I am currently taking an antibiotic for acne, and Wednesday morning I woke up with the yeast infection from hell.
I called the doctor, and was prescribed a Diflucan pill, which I took Wednesday afternoon. I was not any better this afternoon, so I called the pharmacist, who recommended that I take my second Diflucan pill. I'm not better yet, but I have to make it through the weekend before I can see the doctor. That's why I need suggestions-- quickly! This is the worse infection I've ever had!

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you eat yogurt , that should help. I heard it kills the yeast. There is also creams to help relieve the itch and burn. Becky

You also need to see the doc to be sure this is a yeast infection and not something else. Any time you need to take antibiotics you should always eat yogurt with live cultures or take acidophillis capsules. Also do not use tub baths, don't douche and avoid tight fitting pants/jeans. Be sure to wear only 100% cotton underwear.

i agree about the yogurt when i had a yeast infection from hell because i had taken antibiotics and the doc gave me duflucan too, but i got more relief from using the vagisal cream that you can buy at any grocery store or cvs, it helped me right away i used that until it was gone nut it relieves the itching instantly, it did for me anyways. hope this helps God bless.
