why wont they just go away

Yeah I feel like ive gone through every drug there is but nothing has done what is says it will, I feel your pain! my doc put me on stevia a cream and that made my skin red and flakey so im just gonna try it every second day and im also on diane 35 but only for 2 months so far so i hope that will help. I also have acne on my face, chest and back (and I get a few cysts on my face chest and back) and I am also still using clerasil and avon acne products which havn't had any improvements.

now, accutane or roaccutane isn't something I would recomend to anyone (I thought it was banned because of the bad side effects?). I was on it myself and the doc promised great results but it was the opposite, I got huge cysts all over my back chest and face and the doc just gave me a higher dosage promosing my face will clear up, well it didn't so i went off it and as soon as I did my face went back to normal (still bad acne) but I was also left with terrible scars everywhere that I still have today. oh and my eye sight feels like it's getting worse every day, starting off with short sighted and getting worse right after roaccutane.

still I feel bad for the guys you see with acne all over there face and neck and they can't wear makeup to cover it and I envy the people who have never had a pimple in their life when you think why me?

I personaly think acne is a mix of your genes (my dads side of the family having acne) and hormones and I hope the pill works for me.

Sorry for blabbling on, good luck on your fight for pimple less skin and don't let it get you down.

All these cream crap that people will reccomend on this board 75% chance they wont work. Have you seen any corrilation between dairy and acne? I realized that when I drank milk my face broke out, all I had to do was stop but milk is such a huge part of my diet.

i have exactly the same problem, i have tried every single treatment i can buy which havent worked and it has also cost me alot of money. I have a healthy lifestyle so it cant be a bad diet. I have decided to try some herbal recipes and see if they work.

Re: why wont they just go away

I understand your search for the perfect cure. I just think everyone is different and you just have to find what helps you. I have had problems with cysts and regular acne. The past 5 months I have been taking a capsule with borage/flax/fish oils for something unrelated to acne. I havn't had any bad breakouts lately but skin is not perfect. I have been using cepacil cleanser and aveeno soap. Also some serums by mychelle I found on-line. Also, some home made facials of yogurt and asprin. It seems that acne is almost a disorder of the skin where the dead cells don't slough off and clog pores. Try finding a facial ,, even homemade that will speed up this process. I try to do 3x a week and then use the serums. Also, although you may have oily skin, which I have, you shouldn't shy away from using a moisturizer also.

Good luck in your quest.

Just another product junkie.

.... Forgot to mention. Someone said the use of cotten seed oil in food products is a culprit. It is a cheap oil that is being more widely used. I have been reading labels lately and have tried to cut this out of my diet...No more potatoe chips for me.
