benadryl and ritalin

my six year old has ahard time staying asleep at night and her dr refuses to give her anything for it. she is keeping everybody up and it is causing family problems. can i give her benadryl if she is on ritalin . what about over the counter sleep medicines. is any safe for her

Does daughter have sleep problems only on Ritalin? Is the Ritalin causing the sleep problems?

My daughter takes Concerta for ADHD. I spoke with a pharmacist about her taking benadryl and he said it was fine. She actually needed the benadryl for allergies. She does not sleep well since being on the Concerta so her Dr. prescribed Clonidine at bedtime to help her sleep.
