Post Reading on each arm different

I find that some days I have near the same readings on each arm when I take them at the same time, other days, I find that one arm reads at least 10 points higher than the other. I mentioned this to someone one time and they said I should go see my doctor right away as it could mean perhaps a blockage. But then a few days later I take it again and all is normal. Should I start to get concerned? I take Zestral and Adolet CC. I find that my BP does not always stay at 130/80 as suggested by my doctor. But does hit those numbers once in a while. Thanks for any input you all may have.

Hi Partsrunner- Unequal readings in both arms is not uncommon and normally nothing to worry about.

However, if you are concerned, and especially if your BP is not reading 130/80 MOST of the time, I would talk to the doctor... more about the readings being higher than you'd like, rather than the unequal issue.

I have the same issue but arm difference is greater than 10. I have been reading articles on net it looks like this is normal up to about 10mm/HG but over that is not acceptable. You should still see your Dr. about it.

Thanks for the input on my readings. I find that when I am less stressful, my readings are normal or even down, guess that just goes to prove that if a person would just "relax" more, we would be better off. I monitor my pressures 4-5 times a week. 90% of the time I am in range, it was just the fact that someone mentioned a "problem" could exist when readings are different in each arm. That of course added more stress to my day! Thanks again
