Post Thanks all for the feedback..

Thanks everyone for all the feedback.. Just to answer some of the guestions, the doctor did all the test for thyroid, blood, and he even did a cat scan of her head to make sure no tumors, urine test all have been fine... but all the other times we were at the doctors office her BP was fine. so i have decided i am going to try and get her weaned off these meds because i think it it from the medicine and watch her, i even told the dr that i thought her headaches were worse on the nortriptyline that he had increased the previous drs visit which he did say that it could be that so he dropped her back to one pill at bedtime ..I think i will try some diet changes for her too.. and if that helps Great if not i am going to ask to be sent to a specialist. This all started with her headaches and I just wanted him to give her something to ease the pain.. and now we seem to have more things wrong...with worse headaches. My husband thinks i should go to another dr for a second opinion.. I think its too weird that she all of a sudden has a high BP( which by the way was 118/74 this morning and it was 124/80 after shopping all day) .. she is a very active with sports and she never seems to have problems with running track or playing soccer soooo... i guess i will just try some things and see how it goes..but thanks for the support..I will keep you updated... Shanny

Shanny...I think your instincts on all this are right on. And if those BP readings were accurate this morning and after shopping all day she sure doesn't seem to have sustained hypertension!

Let us know how the weaning goes......it really is helpul to a lot of parents out there who might be dealing with the same thing.

Shanny,

I forgot to tell you I put my daughter on omega 3 fatty acids and her eczema is almost healed after having it for 15 years and her allergies got better. Go figure..She only takes the claritan a few times during the week as opposed to taking it every day. She would not swallow the bill oil pills so I had to buy her the fish oil in a container and give it to her in a tablespoon every night..boy does she hate that taste but it's good for you..try it..Lisa
