Exclamation Blood Pressure And Infection

Hey I been wondering about blood pressure and the effects of a virul infection and what effects it has on the blood pressure.

You see I was diognosed with High BP and been on medictaion for a few years now. In general my BP is well controled, but every now and again when I get a cold, flu or other virul infection and a upset stomach my blood pressure readings seam to go through the roof.

I was wondering if anyone has had a simular problem or has heard about infections to make you're BP go up. If anyone has any answers please get back

Yes, your BP definitely can go up when you are fighting infection. I don't know what you mean by 'through the roof" though. If it's dangerously high, like a real hypertensive crisis, then obviously you should call your doctor.

What readings do you get when you have a cold or flu?
