Re: intestinal issues after muscle relaxant drug

yes my doc knows. they say my symptoms should go in time. I have these issues as a result of a muscle relaxant which is similar to a benzo withdrawal. There are Gaba receptors in the intestines just like the brain. The intestines are a muscle which is why they are relaxed from the drug. Alot of benzo users have this problem too.xx

wow.. you really hang onto your meds gal! Um.. it's not uncommon to have intestinal "slowness" taking muscle relaxers. Many drugs cause intestinal discomfort, and change of consistency.

Is there anything else they can give you to counteract this to get you back into a better place? Any drug withdrawal medications perhaps?
