I would be interested to know if there have been studies done showing a correlation between high blood pressure and anxiety, or being high strung and having high bp. Just curious. Incidentally, my daughter, age 28, is also on meds for high bp.

My understanding is that depression, stress, anxiety, etc. trigger the adrenal system to release more cortisol. High cortisol will increase blood pressure. I think it's mainly a chemical response / balance issue.
