Unhappy Spondylosomething Arthritis.

Hi. I have 'Juvenile Spondyloarthritis (JSpA)'
yeah, according to my roomatologist I have THAT.

Apparently its most common in boys around 8.

I'm a GIRL and im not 8!

I am constantly cracking my hip or groin joints.. wrists and shoulders.

Im currently on neuproxin (I don't know how to spell it)

and its not helping!

does anyone feel my pain?
if so, what are some things that help you?

Re: Spondylosomething Arthritis.

Naprasyn is a place to start. If that doesn't help there are other meds than can. Celebrex may help. it is a NSAID---non steroid anti inflammatory . Doctors hesitate to start right out with the STRONGER stuff because of addiction and tolerance issues. Physcial Therapy may help. Sometimes it is a trial and error with different medications to see what will work

Re: Spondylosomething Arthritis.

Hi! I also have spondyloarthropathy. You might ask for a different kind of NSAID-each of them works differently for different people. Naproxyn never helped me, but I have been helped by Voltaren, and there are others: Celebrex, Sulindac, Mobic, etc. Do you have access to a warm swimming pool? I find that doing exercises in warm water helps me. I have also been helped by physical therapy-you might ask your rheumatologist for a prescription to PT. I sympathize with you-it is very frustrating to find the medicines that work right for your body. There are stronger medicines, but they usually save them until the disease progresses a bit. Take care, Kera4
