pain in shoulder when i bend over

pain in left side stomach IMMEDIATELY upon swallowiing food or liquids--under rib area. Also, when I bend over I have horrible left shoulder pain. I was in great health until almost a year ago when I began to experience back pain on a daily basis. I do have severe loss of disc height, spondylosis, spondylothesis, foot and wrist drop--well, suffice it to say: it's been a longgggggggg year. I take Norco (2 pills 3 times a day)and soma (350 milligrams 3 times a day) Just praying it's not the liver or something! Thanks so much for any input and wish me luck! God bless!

Hi - I don't know exactly what is causing your left side pain, but I can tell you, it's not your liver. Liver pain is usually on the right side.

Left side, just under the ribs, hurts right after you eat? Most likely stomach. See if tums makes it go away. Do you take anti-inflammatories, advil, etc? That can cause stomach problems. It's lousy, but it's better than having your liver go.
