Looking for finely ground psyllium husks

I am looking for finely ground psyllium husks. Metamucil makes one brand that is reasonably fine but it has some other material in it.

I see several brands advertised but none claims to be finely ground. I find the regular or coarse ground type difficult to swallow.

Thanks for any comments.

Why not use physillum husks in capsule form. I purchased mine from Whole Foods (an organic/health food store). I could never drink that stuff. Swallow the capsules and drink plenty of water. It works wonderfully and without bloating/gas.

tatoo--

I have difficulty swallowing pill, except very small ones. I typically grind up my supplements in juice and allow softgells to melt in my mouth.

Re: Looking for finely ground psyllium husks

If you are using it to help with constipation, try Miralax. It disolves completly in water or juice, has no taste or mouth feel. Can be found in Walmart, Costco, Target. Was by script only but is now otc. I take meds that cause constipation and this takes care of it big time....

O.K. get it now. Probably your best bet would to go to a reputable health food store and inquire about their different products. Tell them your issues and perhaps they can find you the appropriate psyllium for you. They also have these products without the fillers you are speaking of. Most of the health food stores carry better products. Do you have Whole Foods around you. They are great and helpful.

Like the previous poster said, if you are using it for constipation, mirilax is great. You won't even know you are drinking anything.

Also have you ever thought about making a smoothie with the psyllium. Perhaps blending it with a thicker consistency drink might make it better for you.
