Acupuncturist or Chiropractor for Relief of Migraine Pain?

I am a migraine sufferer and was wondering what type of relief you have received from either an acupuncturist or chiropractor. My new insurance plan for 2003 offers benefits for chiropractors but I'm not sure about acupuncturists.

I have had migraines for all my memorable life.
Tried chiropractic for a while and, as far as the headaches go, had really no improvement. I have talked to people though who think it helps theirs.

I know it is probably not covered by your insurance but I would recommend massage therapy. I started it last year and go about 1 x a month. It has helped reduce the frequency and the severity. For me the treatments were pretty uncomforable the first few times I went because my neck was in such a state of muscle spasm that it took her a long time to "break through" the top layers of muscle. When it has been like that for so long you don't even notice it anymore so it was amazing to see the effect after years of the headaches. Good luck- Paulette
