Post Regulating Headaches

For the past two weeks I've had constant headaches at about the same time everyday. I don't know what causes them. When younger, I was diagnosed with having migranes, but I don't think they have anything to do with it. My headaches aren't really powerful, but having a headache at all isn't nice. I wear contacts, so maybe it's the strain in my eyes? I have no idea.

Hi miss U.,

You say you get them at the same time of day everyday? What time?? Morning, noon??

What, if anything, are you taking for your headaches? Either prescription or OTC (over the counter) meds.?

Is it pulsating like the migraines you used to get or is it more of a dull ache?

Woody

I usually get my headaches after lunchtime (around 1pm) and they can last anywhere from a few hours to 5 or 6 hours. I do not take any meds for them because it never helps me.

Miss U, I'm new to this board but very experienced (unfortunately) with headaches. If you haven't reached a solution yet for those repetitive, daily headaches, I'm wondering if it might be chronic tension headache? I've had migraines for over 20 yrs., with differing frequency, but just the past year have had chronic tension headache episodes twice. It's a REAL drag, and comes back like clockwork, every day. I've been to the neurologist 3 times, and am now taking low-dose Pamelor (nortriptyline) But I believe my visits to the physical therapist have helped more than anything, truly. He's got me doing easy stretching exercises, and working methodically on things like seated-posture, etc. It takes time, but I got over it once, and intend to again! I'm getting better, after 2 1/2 mos. Best of luck with whatever you try :-)
