Symbicort works great for me

I had asthma for nearly 20 years, needing to take my ventolin daily, always forgetting the steroid medicine that was supposed to help you heal gradually. Well, I tried Symbicort--a combination rescue/steroid medication--and it has changed my life. Even when I exercise now, I don't have to take medication before or after (though sometimes I get short of breath, but now after a while, the feeling will dissipate--this NEVER happened before).

Basically, the first time I took Symbicort, I didn't have to take a puff of anything for the rest of the day. Nor the next day. I thought maybe it was a fluke. Then as time passed, I could go several days without taking any medication after one puff of Symbicort...and now, I literally can go weeks. I feel mostly like I'm cured.

I was never one to like taking puffs as prescribed (don't like to have to take medication), so because I only took the Symbicort as necessary, that's how I realized I was no longer needing to take anything for days. You are supposed to rinse your mouth out after you take Symbicort. I do that when I take it and haven't noticed any problem with my throat/voice.

It's something to try, if you can get it in the U.S.
