According to the updated(May,2000)pharmaceutical insert for the prescription acne medication, Accutane-- Patients who experience tinnitus or hearing impairments should discontinue Accutane treatment and be referred to specialized care. Hearing impairment has been reported to persist after Accutane therapy has been discontinued.
