Smile What's finally working for me!!!

Hi

Having previously used this site for information and help, I just wanted to share what is working for me, and hopefully for you . I'm male, have fairly greasy skin, and I've had mild to moderate acne for about 10 years. I'm now 27 and, after trying many OTC products (freederm, quinoderm, various anti-bacterial face washes) and a few different antibiotic courses (all tetracycline based), I think I've finally found a solution that is both manageable and successful.

It's quite a simple regime actually so here goes:

1. I have completely stopped washing my face with water. I'm not sure but I think the various purification chemicals used may be too harsh for some skin types.

2. I use a gentle cleansing wipe morning and night. I use Sainsbury's Extra Gentle face wipes but I'm fairly sure its a generic product. I can give the ingredients list if anyone is interested but I think the important point is that they're soap-free.

3. I use PanOxyl Aquagel BP5% once a day in the evening. I had some limited success with quinoderm but overall I found it too harsh. Unlike quinoderm, this product seems to control sebum production better without being over drying.

And that's it. This has been working for me for about 4 months now and, although I still get the odd spot, my skin is now the best its ever been and practically everyone gets the occasional spot anyway .

Good luck people, I hope this can work for you too!!!

Hi mate, is PanOxyl Aquagel BP5% the same as BENZOYL PEROXIDE?
