Hi my name is kathy, i belong to the autism board, i just found out that my son has a moderate to severe hearing loss (his hearing was 70 decibals), i thought i could join a board about hearing loss. he was sedated becau It surprised me when they told me that my son (john) has a hearing problem and plus he needs hearing aides, he is 3 years old, he always hears what i say and understands, the doctor told me that he could probably hear its just muffled and he has adapted to it,i have been told to get a second oppinion, but i dont know it makes sense to me even though i was surprised, he is always loud, screaming and yelling even when he's playing by himself he doesnt talk at all, he seems frustated alot (probably because he can't hear) he's agressive and abusive. If anybody has a child with the same problem i would like to talk with you. Thanks for listening, Kathy

Kathy I understand what your child is going thru. I would like to help . Try and play with your child spend time with him. Kathy I'm also hearing impared I ahve been ever since I was a little girl.
