alternatives

To whom it may concern:
I have wanted for some time to join the army after college.
Unfortunately for me and fortunately for my parents that would
necesitate my being off of medication such as ritalin, concerta,
aderal, ect. for a year before I enlisted. Do you have any
recommendations about over the counter medication i Could take to help alleviate my symptoms without being black-listede for the army. Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to your response.

Corey

Re: alternatives

I wouldn't waste money on any mystery herbs. They're either useless or potentially harmful.

You might be able to manage without the meds through regular exercise (think twice a day). Also, the supplement omega-3 fatty acids really have been proven to improve brain function.

Also, try caffeine. Ordinary caffeine. Just make sure your source allows you to measure the dosage precisely. (Coffee is an imprecise source, unless you make it yourself the same way each time) If your heart is thumping or you can't sleep, it's too much.
