Post Bradycardia

My husband has Bradycardia (heartrate 32-50)was usually 72)with fatigue, dizzines, lightheadednes. Cardiologists has done tests, but says nothing needs to be done unless he loses consciousness. Hubby has had to quit work. On bad days, he can't stay awake and shakes and sometimes sweats. Family Dr.& ICU cardiologists think he needs a pacemaker. Specialist says not yet. Hubby is 51yrs.old.
Anyone have any advice or similar symptoms?

My mother was discovered to have bradycardia (a slow heart rate) with a heart rate of about 42. She had been feeling very tired and sometimes lightheaded upon arising from a seated position or coming up stairs. When the slow heart rate was discovered, she was immediately referred to a cardiologist and had a pacemaker implanted the next day. That was about 6 years ago. She has done fine since then. I would recommend the pacemaker. It would probably help more that you realize.

Thank you. He would have a pacemaker put in if the doctor gave the go ahead, but that hasn't happened yet.
He keeps saying lets wait and see.
Your mother's symptoms are exactly the same.
He sees our family doctor Tues. maybe something will happen then.
Again, thanks.

I'm having similar but slightly different experiences. Maybe someone can shed some light, or suggest something and we can both become better infomred.

My resting heartbeat gets down into the low 50's sometimes. It seems to be regular and I suffer no ill effects like dizzyness, passing out, etc. I do get tired, but I've been on a diet for about 4 months now to lose weight (successfully so far, but still 20% overweight), so I've been attributing late night fatigue to lack of calories. I briskly walk 5 to 6 miles per day, 6 days per week. My heartbeat goes to 70% to 85% of maximum, and my recovery rate is within 10 minutes. I'm tired when finished, but not where I'm passing out or wanting a nap. I usually go back to work after the workout and function just fine.

A few questions: Can dieting slow your hearbeat down? I know exercise makes your heart stronger, but into the low 50's?

Any help or insight with this would be greatly appreciated.
