Post my husband

I had to take my husband to the er last night, his head was hurting , red eyes, etc..Well his bp was 212/114. They did a ct scan, to be sure he had'nt had a stroke, and he did'nt thank GOD, but they can't seem to get his bp under control. They did an ekg, which showed abnormalities, and decided to keep him. Cardiologist saw him in morning, his original cardiologist has left town, w/out even a goodbye. They tried anew med .lipa-something I think, ( been up about 36 hrs),also said cardiac enzymes are high???Also put him on nytro patch, oxygen and high dose's of potassium. He is still there, will be probably until t'morrow.Thanx for being there, Tails are wagging .com Lupine

Hey,
kind of know what you're going thru. Husband is awaiting Cervical neck surgery. He had a heart attack a few years back, 2 stints in arteries then -- they gave him Okay to go to work, has worked every since until March. Got hurt at work with neck injury.
Now we are once again dealing with his heart AF. Awaiting cardiac clearance for Cervical fusion and plating.

Talking

Just wanted to post again to tell you A F is atrial fibrillation, this means heart out of rhythm. Have they put him on coumadin or loxamin, blood thinners, I also have a brother that has had a heart out of rhythm and they could not get back into rhythm, something a lot of people live with very successfully. They have several ways to put it back into rhythm including cardioversion and the above mentioned blood thinner, try not to worry too much, I know it is hard, it is hard for me---- but keep the faith.
