Question Annette30?

I read a post of yours awhile ago that mentioned you were on many heart meds - have you ever heard of Florinef? My Dr. is trying it on me now to increase my bp - I suffer from Sinus tachycardia and orthostatic low bp. My bp is usually 80's/50's - it is slowly increasing with the med - but I physically don't feel any better. Do you know anything about it?

As a matter of fact. No I haven't ever tried that medication. But, I too at one time have suffered from low blood pressure yet, had a rapid pulse. I just increased my salt intake. At that time now that I've gained weight it is moderately high. I know you can feel weak and light headed when your blood pressure is low kind of like limp how are you doing???

I have a rapid pulse, too. Sinus tachycardia is what I was diagnosed with (my resting rate is over 100 bpm). I tried increasing my salt - per dr.s orders and it didn't help. I started florinef which is supposed to help your body retain sodium and therefore increase your blood pressure. I am not feeling much better - still weak and dizzy. My cardiologist increased my med last Wed. I am hoping that it will help soon. I still have heart palps and low bp.

Well, I too have been through the mill with lb. I had my blood pressure that low too many of times. I never could understand why my pulse was high yet bp low? Now, that I've gained weight I have high bp. I'm taking Garlic to lower it, Hawthorn to regulate my heart, and all my vitamins, minerals. Have you went to the health food store. Believe me when I was tired of meds that is where I went and this stuff really works. After all when you have a heart attack they check your enzymes and minerals. Potassium is important. When my bp was real low I would just rest with a sedative. Rest as much as possible. How long has this been going on?

Annette30,

I am not sure how long this has been going on. I am 32 and have had a rough 3 years. My husband walked out on me when my son was 9 mos old. I started having panic attacks (so I thought that's what they were) and was put on Klonopin back then. I have been on it for 2 years. I was recently hospitalized and they discovered my rapid heart rate (sinus tachycardia) and low bp. I have a feeling that was really my diagnosis 2 years ago when I was put on klonopin, when I should have been put on something for my heart/low bp. Anyway, what kind of sedative were/are you on? You mentioned that you rested a lot - klonopin makes me so tired and I have to nap at least every day (with my 3 year old son). I have no energy. Any advice?
