Unhappy Im going mad with hormones

Hi im new to this site. Im only 33 and i think im perimenopausal. Ive done home tests that were positive. the doctor reluctantly took blood and said i had alot of estrogen due to the pill. I have not taken the pill for over ten yrs. hormones dont agree with me. Then nine months ago i had an ectopic pregnancy. I have really bad pmt symptoms that last for most of the month including anxiety, sore breasts, night sweats, mood swing, need to urinate all the time and many more. I know my body and i know theres something wrong. My doctor wont listen. Please could anyone help.

Can you go see an endocrinologist?
When your estrogen was tested - did they test your LH and FSH and testosterone? At a minimum, get another doctor. If this one is ignoring you, he is doing you no good.

Yes try another doctor. Look for one with D.O. after their name. They are not deaf & will hear what you say.

If you do produce too much estrogen then there are meds to reduce it, but they are expensive. I take 1-1/2 Arimidex pill per week. Some have to take it every day.

The new doc might try to give you some testosterone, if it is low to help the Estrogen:Testosterone ratio.

Good luck

Deal with this as soon as possible and be adamant with your doctor. I was overwhelmed with perimenopausal symptoms (headache, flushes, foggy thinking and depression) but I wasn't insistant enough to have it dealt with. Sometimes you have to make the point forcefully that you are in rough shape and if the doctor still doesn't respond then get a new doctor. The other Godsend for me was Gail Sheehy's book - The Silent Passage which tells you everything about menopause - buy it and read it twice!
