Tramadol Withdrawal???

Hi Everybody!

I've been off a few days because I've been sick. The last Tramadol 100mg ER I took was 7:00pm Monday and I'm still sick. I know that I have to get use to the med but I believe it's too strong. I have a call in to my pm to ask for something milder.

What I need to know is am I going through withdrawal??!!! My skin is clammy, upset stomach, hot and cold...just sick! I need advice and how should I start my med research?

Re: Tramadol Withdrawal???

Rosa,

Sounds like classic withdrawl symptoms. Tramadol can cause some major withdrawl problems. It exhibits a lot of the same characteristics as an SSRI med (zoloft) along with opiate properties.

You should not stop taking tramadol cold turkery. I would consult your doc and discuss the problem with him/her. But it sounds like withdrawl to me.

Hope you feel better. Good Luck.

Re: Tramadol Withdrawal???

Hi Rosa,

I just read your other post about starting Tramadol. I didn't know that you just started the med. It usually takes about 7 days to start developing a dependency to a medication. So your sickness may be from that medication, which is is also common. Its hard to know, but either way I would contact your doc and address your concerns.

Take Care
