Heart Problem or Muscle Problem, not sure, need advice

I don't know where to post this, since I don't know what kind of problem it might be, so sorry if I posted this in the wrong area.

Early last week, I think it was on Tuesday, I began to feel a small pain on my chest, close to the upper center but a little to the left. I guess at the beginning of my pecs, or...well, you know, breast I guess (I'm a guy). I didn't know what to think of it at first, I began to panic and thought it was a heart attack, but realized I didn't feel any numbness in my left arm, and I wasn't short of breath. The pain/strange feeling doesn't occur all the time either, only when I start moving my arm around, stretch, or do some physical activity. Just now I was watching a video where I began to laugh really hard, and the pain/issue began to arise again, but then went away once I calmed down. Ocasionally, I'll also feel a small pain on my Left Shoulder, though not often. Occasionally, I'll also feel a strange itching sensation in the area where the pain/issue is.

I think I might have torn a muscle, or maybe sprained something in my chest. I'm not really sure. I don't think it's a Heart Problem, because it's not happening all the time, and the pain/issue just comes and goes. (It's mainly active in the afternoon/evening as well). I'm also a fat person, and when I sit, I kinda sit Hunched Over so my belly does push up my chest a little bit. And when I lay down to relax, sometimes I use my left arm to hold up my head to watch TV and such. (As if you're lying on your Left Side that is) Also, after eating meals and feeling really full, the Pain/Issue comes around again until my "Full Feeling" is gone.

So I think I might have a torn muscle, or maybe a sprain. When I told my mother about it, she panicked and thought it was my heart. I would go to see a doctor, but unfortunately, I don't have any Medical Insurance, and I have no Job or Money at the moment. A friend of mine also suggested that the pain/issue may be Stress Related as well, and I admit I have been stressing over many things over the past 6-8 weeks or so. Some of them are small issues, but I still stress over them. Not only that, but when my mom panicked and suggested a hospital, I began to panic as well. (I hate Hospitals in General)

So I don't really know what to do. I don't know if I should see a doctor, even though I have no Insurance or Money. Or if I should continue to just rest it off, and stop worrying over things that'll stress me out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of problem I may have and have any recommendations on any medication I can take? My mother suggested taking Aleve, but I'm not sure if I should. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may try taking an aspirin when you have the pain and see if it immediately goes away. If the aspirin helps it could be heart related.
There are many, many things it could be related to.
If you are a male over 40 and overweight it would be wise to have a check up anyway.

I'm actually 24 Years Old. I think it might be a muscle because last night, I started to feel around my chest to see where the pain could be situated at, and I found a spot on my chest where I do feel pain. So it could be muscle related.

That sounds like good news. It takes a long time for a sore muscle to stop hurting.
Your just a baby, only 24 years old, you should be a long, long way from worrying about heart problems. I bet with you not working and being so stressed causes you to worry about things you would just ignore if you were busy.
Start now trying to lose some weight, at your age it is easy. Weight can bring many health problems on early in life. It might help your life in many other ways too.
Lots of good luck to you.
I am the mother of two sons older than you, so that gives me a little credit to give you some advice.

I went to a small clinic around here, and the doctor said I have Tendonitis in my chest. Since I've spent years sitting in a hunched over position, and applying a lot of pressure to my left chest with the way I lay down, then it could be Tendonitis. She prescribed me Ibuprofen to help reduce the inflammation. How long does it usually take for Tendonitis to heal?
