Red face OB's and Periods- BURNING!!!!!!!??????

Please someone, respond. OK, I am on my 6th day of antivirals and all my sores are gone- totally non-existent, so why on earth do I now, or rather AGAIN, have burning just inside my vagina??? I just got off my period today, and while I was on it, I had no burning, but now it is burning again. Can someone please give me some insight, suggestions to stop the pain etc. Warm baths and 600mg IBProfren are not doing the trick. Also, I look fine. Not swollen, or even really red, and no sores. Thank you. Please respond soon, I really do not feel well and my dr.'s office is closed.

Hi poindxtr,

I'm not sure what to suggest, other than it might be possible that you have some *tiny* sores that simply don't show up to the naked eye.

You might try more heat or some cold on the area. A hot water bottle might stimulate blood flow to the area better than just a bath. If that doesn't work, you could try an ice pack around the area (not inside), 10 minutes on and 5 off. You also might try some extra strength Tylenol instead of Ibuprophen (once the IB wears off), or extra strength IB.

If you have a pharmacy nearby that's still open, you could ask the pharmacist if any topical ointment is safe to use on mucous membrane like inside the vagina. I'm thinking something like Lanacaine but the tube I have doesn't say anything about the vagina one way or the other.

Then see your doc asap. Sorry you're still feeling so lousy!

Have you tried taking Monolaurin and Selenium pills.
I used to get the same thing. A nagging burning sensation, I started taking selenium pills and the burning is gone. Now, I don't get OB. I also bought concentrated garlic oil and rub a bit on the area of previous OB, just to make sure.
Find out more about Monolaurin. You might find it helpful.

Do you have any discharge? Maybe you might have yeast, bacterial infection? Or maybe it is an internal ob

Lanacaine is safe to use on the vagina. When I was dx'd they Rx'd me Lidocaine. LOVE the stuff!
