Question Remedy???

i cannot stand the site of a "cold sore" on the corner of my mouth. Is there anyone who can tell me what the best thing is to get rid of it fast? I know there isnt a cure, but what can i use ?

I've heard of an over-the-counter cream in the US called Abreeva that sometimes helps speed healing. If it's *really* distressing for you, you could also go to your doctor and ask for an antiviral drug prescription, but you need to start taking it at the first tingle or itch and within the first 72 hours of an outbreak, for it to really do you any good. And I'll warn you, the drugs are expensive.

If it's past that point, you might find that any kind of healing ointment or astringent will help clear up the infection. Zinc-based ointments are usually very good to speed healing of any skin sore or abrasion.

Beyond that, keep it clean and dry. Sorry I can't suggest much more. Maybe someone else has had luck with other stuff.
