Post Home remedy...

...that works just as quick as the perscriptions.

Fresh squezed lemon juice and salt...

SERIOUSLY.

Mix the two together and form a salt pack on the effected area, re-moisten the pack continuously with the lemon and you'll see results in a matter of hours, and it will be 'dried up' in days.

As soon as you feel the bump beginning to form, attack the area with the solution, and you may very well ward off the blister from forming.

I do NOT recommend trying this on a 'full blown blister', for fear of breaking the blister and allowing the disease to spread.

Thanks KotA. It doesn't surprise me that you've found success with this, since both lemon juice and salt are astringents which would dry out the OB site. I can also imagine that trying it on an actual blister would be pretty painful, although the astringent qualities might help dry out an open sore too...if you could stand it. LOL

The pain is minimal, and the results are surprisingly fast.

AND you don't need a perscription with all those nasty side effects.

It might...

I've just always been a "the fresher the better" kind of guy.

I know that lemon juice doesn't 'taste' the same as fresh squeezed lemon...but I couldn't comment on a comparison of chemical charecteristics of each, nor their effectiveness in this treatment.
