Question walking and acid reflux

I find that climbing about 35 stairs then walking to my office (about l00 yds) triggers my acid reflux. Begins in chest up to my ears. When I rest a minute it's fine. Does anyone have this problem???

Re: walking and acid reflux

Hi,
Can you explain it better? How does it feel etc...
Is it chest pain? Acid in your mouth?

Re: walking and acid reflux

No Mouth Acid. Just I Begin To Get The Achey Burning Sensation Not So Much In My Chest Anymore As In The Back Of My Throat Then Up To And Including My Ears. It's Strange But I Have Read Of Other People Whose Acid Reflux And Heartburn Also Go To These Areas. I Thought I Was Alone In This. Anyway I Seem To Mostly Get These Symptoms Now With The Stairs And Walking To My Building.

Re: walking and acid reflux

ok. It almost resembled what happens to me while walking, or climbing stairs.
But I have heart trouble. I was wondering if you were describing what happens to me. Heavy pressure in my chest that will suddenly get very intense and spring out from the center of my chest as it gets worse. And into my arm sockets, neck, and sometimes I can feel it in my throat and ears.

Re: walking and acid reflux

Shair,

do you sometimes experience shortness of breath with your symptoms when walking? I get the pressure Danny describes and sometimes even pain (in the lungs?) with each breath.
The tickling/prickling sensation in your throat is from the acid coming up & irritating it. Whether or not you actually taste acid does not matter. Some people do not taste any acid (especially when taking PPIs). Have you had yourself checked by a doctor? If not, you probably should.
