Is The Heat Bothering Anyone Else?

So the other day i was driving to a friends house about 30 minutes away, all of a sudden the hazy sunlight was bothering my eyes and making me feel panicky and nauseous, in addition it was making me feel very uncomfortable even with the air conditioner on full blast, anyone else having these problems, also my shoulder becamse sunburned and since i am on 5mg norvasc and 10mg paxil I know I am sensitive to the sun however I did not want to be stuck in the house all day, now however I have issues with JUST DRIVING in the extreme heat (its 95 <BY THE WAY>) because i get nervous of getting stuck somewhere in the extreme heat ahhhhhh i really need to beat this anxiety and panic disorder.......

I know that the celexa I am taking causes a problem with heat. I sweat very easily with this med and seem to feel hotter than normal. Godbless

I know exactly how you feel ,the same thing happened to me as i was sitting at a red light the other day.I started to get this feeling of dread come over me,my eyes started to feel funny, and i thought if the light didnt change soon i was either going to faint or throwup. In the past i had a problem with anxiety, but hadnt had any attacks in years.Dont know what it was about sitting at that light that worked me up.Now its in the back of my mind that it could happen again, and i might lose control.Take care.

Re: Is The Heat Bothering Anyone Else?

Although it's cooler here this weekend than it was last, I am still bothered by the heat. Last weekend was bad and I had an experience similar to yours. I was running a few errands and as soon as I had to get out of my air conditioned car I got very panicky. I started shaking and having heart palpitations. It was awful! I was so scared because I was by myself. I too fear getting stuck somewhere in the extreme heat, like having the car break down. I don't know how I'd handle it

I hate the heat too and do think the med's we take for anxiety or depression sure could cause overheating.
Take a plasitc frozen ice pack with you wrapped in a towel. If you start feeling warm, put it on your neck or just hold it. It may help keep you cooler, mentally and phsyically. I do this at home sometimes and really helps.
