Very often reflux or gerd can go hand in hand with asthma. I have been told this by more then one doctor. Asthma alone can make someone a nervous wreck to, so perhaps his nerves have a role but I would get him in to the doctors, mean time have you tried anything like Zantac? I am not sure for his age or size but you can call the phamacist & explain & ask. It is miserable & for someone his age it must be even worse. I know of a child who was diagnosed with reflux at 2yrs old, kept throwing up & so forth. He is on meds already for this, poor little guy. His mom said it took awhile to see what was going to work but they found something & he is much better. Good luck.
