Need some advice please help!

Hi All,
This is my first post and need some advise!
For a little while i have been feeling really naseau
and feel like i'm going to vomit sometimes but i never do
Also my chest area seems heavy sometimes and i get some discomfort
off an on.Stomach feels queezy sometimes also.Also have alot achy pain in my upper back but don't know if this would be related to this.I feel like something is really attacking my system. I don't know if i should go to the hospital or just wait till i can see a dr.I have been to the hospital before and nothing turned up and i went to a dr a little while ago and had blood test done but they said everything was ok.Said my bad cholesterol was a little high and to try and diet a little and it should go down.I need to see a dr that can do more thorough tests.This is not going away.Some days the symptoms are not too bad and other days like today i feel really bad.Can anyone give me any advise or what could be wrong maybe?

It sounds to me like you should make an appointment with a doctor to discuss these particular symptoms. If you go to the emergency room, you probably won't get help in an kind of a hurry. (Of course, if you suddenly get much worse, that's another matter.)

One thing: have you tried taking antacids like Tums? See if it helps, at least a little bit.

I have had the same symptoms for the past week. When I feel like I'm going to throw up, I also break out in a horrible sweat. I'm thinking it's GERD but there is always the possibility that it could also be heart related. I've tried zantac for a few days, that didn't help. I just got some prilosec yesterday and I felt good last evening but had an episode this morning. I've also been taking tums and pepto.

Like you, I'm not sure what is going on. I'm doing the wait and see if it improves for a few more days before calling my doctor. If you think it may be heart related, you should see your doctor right away. Most have EKG machines in their office. Heart disease has so many different symptoms that it's hard to judge without having tests done. One factor is family history. My husband had his first bypass at age 37. His symptoms came on suddenly and with crushing chest pain. His father died in his early 40's from a heart attack and his mother has also had 2 bypasses. My father had heart disease so I do have some concerns also.
