Question Problem Breathing

I have been having a very difficult time breathing for the past few weeks. I was having some irregular heartbeats about a week ago, along with some problems of getting a deep breath in and my Dr put me on an inhaler called Xopenex HFA which I use 3 or 4 times a day. My problem is that I cannot get a "deep breath" down in my lungs. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does I struggle until I get that deep breath into my lungs. I have had a stress test, I've worn a heart monitor for 2 days, and recently had a Echo- Cardiogram, which I haven't gotten the results yet. Can anyone tell me why I still am having problems getting a deep breath in? My Dr. also said he would do a Pulmonary Function test. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Problem Breathing

Hi
I had something like this from a viral infection, it took 6 months to stop, the main thing is not to panick, breathing techniques do help, B2 agonist, which opens up the airways, antihystamines, this could all be related to an allergic reaction or stress related, you need to sometimes do all the diagnostics and then put everything together to find the best treatment, you asthma nurse or doctor should work with you to get this diagnosed
good luck.
