how long till PPI kick in

hi yah

i went to my spec, i am having a adominal cat scan on monday and blood tests/stool tests..........i had a endescope thing couple years back and it showed no hernias, or anything so he may not do anther one as yet...........
anyway i have started on a PPI protonix or something i think its a generic form not sure cant be bother going to find the box....
anyway how long does it take to kick in i took my first one this morning had breaky and still feel acidity.

im hopin they will give me relief until i get the tests results back and find out it it is just gerd. then i will be on a mission to find something that actually fixes the underlling cause..........he dosnt seem to think at this stage that it is my gallbladder,,,,,,but i may need more testing yet.

anyway im sure i read somewhere tht if you have no results in a week from a PPI then to change meds?
oh does the gerd give a horrible coating yellowish white on your tounge? its icky but not smelly thank goodness...brushes clean of.............i no its not from candida or whatever as i have alreaady dealt to those litttle ^(^^$$#@@$% and they are gone!! but i no that they love acid so need to get my tummy backunder control

Re: how long till PPI kick in
