moles, warts, tags, age spots...

Which natural methods work and which ones don't?

Personally I've tried the castor oil/ baking soda method and have removed 2 unsightly moles. One 3 yrs ago, and it still hasn't come back.

I've tried this on a little flat one but it won't budge with this method, so now I'm trying a piece of garlic bandaid to it...LOL... I'm greatful this one is only a day and night method, it reeks...

Are there any natural remedies for age spots?

Hi dorri,

I removed a big white mole that was on my stomach, and a smaller white skin tag on my inner thigh also. My OB/GYN (who is a country girl) told me how her mom use to remove them, so I tried it and it worked. I'm about to try it on a larger one (brown, pencil eraser size) on my chest. (Not looking forward to that one, as it will probably take longer.)

O.K.....I used dental floss, (her mom used thread)
tied it tightly around the mole or tag, knotted it, and repeated the tying around it 3 or 4 times, knotting it again. As tight as I could stand it. I put an antibiotic lotion on it, and covered them with a bandage. I replaced the bandages, and re-applied the anti biotic daily. I also tied more floss around the mole/tags as they began to dry up, to keep it really tight, and make sure no blood supply was getting to them. After a week to 10 days, they were gone. This has been over a year ago, and they haven't returned. It wasn't painful, but it did sting a little.

Oh yeah, could you explain the baking soda thing to me? What were you doing?

Re: moles, warts, tags, age spots...

Hi Becky, I tried to tie a string around one but I couldn't get it to stay...

With the castor oil, I added just enough baking soda to make a paste, not too thick or thin. I dabbed it on the mole 2-3xs daily. When I started to see irritation around the mole I applied some zinc ointment or antibiotic around the mole but not on it, thus preventing scarring.
This time around I tried garlic on the flat mole, and right now it is a healing scab so I'm hoping it's gone for good. Now I need to find a way to get rid of the red around the mole. I found garlic to be very irritating to my skin.

Re: moles, warts, tags, age spots...

Hi,

I tried the baking soda/caster oil paste to 3 places 2 days ago and can already see a difference. I am finding it hard to get a bandaid to even stick around the area. I've used a couple of kinds of tape, but am just getting red from the tapes. Any suggestions?

I had a hard time with bandages as well. Try to find one that is the least sticky, just enough to hold, and cut off almost all the sides and leave a little margin just enough to tack it on the skin. If your skin is already irritated you can try to omit the bandage until the area heals and apply some of the solution just on the mole/wart not letting it drip on the surrounding skin. You might have to use a toothpick to do this.
