Post Diet Medication

Hi everybody! I asked for and received a script for Meridia, but I'm kinda nervous taking it. The doc who prescribed it knows my health and history and meds, and apparently he thought it was safe enough.

But I want to hear from people who have taken it. Anyone?

Thanks, and have a wonderful, peaceful night.

Wink

hello. I am currently taking meridia 10mg everyday. I lost 7 lbs in the first month and had some annoying side effects during the first week or two. I was very jittery, couldn't sleep and my stomach was queezy. I did not have much of an appetite but now after my second month, I am starving all the time just like before the medication started. I had no elevation in my blood pressure but I feel occasional palpitations especially at night. In my opinion, the med isn't worth it!!!

Cool

Hi there,
A friend of mine was on Meridia and was not too thrilled with it. Not only is it very expensive, but she did not lose much weight. She is about 100 pounds over weight and lost pretty quickly in the first few weeks, but then it just stopped. I am taking Adipex-P 37.5 mg and it works great for me. It makes me a little jittery, but I space them out every other day. It is around $46 for generic but I have lost 43 pounds in about 6 months. It gives me energy that's for sure but I have to take it early so I am not up all night. All I can say is it helped me a lot and my doctor is very leary of all diet meds and he prescribed it. So I guess it's "safe" Just my 2 cents.

Dolphin, I would be carefull of what you take. Adipex-P is one part of the fen/phen drug that caused alot of us bad heart damage.
