Post surgery, no insurance?

Is it possible? Has anyone looked into this? I have been thinking about getting some king of 'weight loss' sugery, I am over 100lbs over weight. My insurance does not cover this, I only have a basic student policy. How much do these types of surgery cost? Is it possible to pay for it yourself?

In the USA a 100lbs overweight is Morbid Obesity and by law the insurance companys must comply especily if that person is in grave danger of dying, other countries I don't know, I do know if you bombbared them with letters from your MD, Nurtionilst and shhrink stating you have no other way out they may change their mind, good luck

I've never heard of tht law before, how interesting.
Where would a person find documentation of this law?
Cause I don't think my doctor would believe me if I
told her such a thing.
Thanks Kiehn
