what's going on?? replies not appearing!

I want to reply to someone's post so I write this long, involved reply and submit it and it doesn't show up! What's up with that?? Yesterday I replied on someone's post, it didn't show up so I hit the back buttom and copied and pasted my original reply and submitted it again and then it ended up posted twice. So today when a reply I submitted didn't show up I thought it would in time or something so I didn't copy and paste and it doesn't show up at all. But the "replies" number went up by one. Anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or what's happening??

after you "submit reply" do you wait for the next page to clear itself or do you immediately hit your back button?

After you submit your reply and it takes you back to the post, hit the Ctrl button + F5 button (Ctrl+F5). It will refesh the page and it should show up.
