Post I can't stop gaining wieght

This is my first time posting and I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me.

About a year ago I was overwieght and starting getting really bad spasms in my leg. The doctor said it was from malnutrition. As soon as I found that out I start losing wieght. I felt great and lost about 40 pounds in maybe six months. Then I went through some pretty depressing stuff and I started binging.

Now I am feeling a lot better mentally but can't stop over eating. I binge everyday when I get home from school. I always tell myself that I'm only going to have a little snack but it ends up being more and more. The same with meals. I'll decide I'm full but then keep eating a little more.

Look in to the Atkins diet. You can really get your weight under control with this diet. No sugar or white flour or pasta can be eaten, but just about anything else. Also make sure you eat protein for breakfast.

You might be feeling better mentally, but that doesn't mean the emotional factors behind over eating are gone. Ask yourself WHY am I eating more?

You need to eat more throughout the day before you get home. Start packing pretzels, fruits, and veggies, or turkey in your backpack for snacking at school. If you keep something in your belly throughout the day you may not overeat so much after school. Also, drink lots of water. If you are hungry, drink water instead. It will fill you up and you may just be thirsty instead. Sometimes your body feels hungry and all you really need is water. Also, talk with your parents about getting rid of the junk foods around the house so that it is harder for you to binge on them. This way even if you do binge it will be on good foods. Which is better than junk!!

Also, get busy. Join a club or sports team so that you will be busy after school. You could play softball, soccer, cheerlead, gymnastics, ballet, and many more. If you get involved in sports you will be getting exercize instead of eating-which is a plus, because you will be getting in great shape.

GOOD LUCK

Good luck!

In the past I found myself in the same situation. There was an old TV ad that said something like, it is not what you are eating, it is what's eating you.

Now, the hard part...SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP. The only person who expects you to get through this on your own is YOU!

Meanwhile the Big Three Rules Of Weight Loss Success Apply to you...

1. Make your home a safe haven, remove all foods that do not support your goal of stopping binging. That means throw it away, give it away, don't eat it and don't keep it in the house. If you are going to binge you will have to do it IN PUBLIC.

2. Write down everything you put in your mouth before you eat it. All of it. This will give you the opportunity to appraise the value of what you are eating and give you an opportunity not to eat it.

3. Get the support of a trusted friend. Explain your goal and make sure they support your goal. You should not have an emotional investment withe person you choose and that person should not have an emotional investment in you. NO FAMILY, CLOSE FRIENDS OR LOVERS A health care professional is your best bet.

You must seek the council of a professional if you are going to reverse the condition.
