I take medications, and am grateful for them. That said, some non-medical things that are very important to me, particularly when I'm depressed are exercise, preferably daily, whatever form I can get myself to do. Leaving the house, every day, no matter for what. Showering, dressing, etc. everyday no matter what, not staying in bed past a certain hour, keeping to a schedule (yes, my depressions are so bad that these things are a major struggle.)
