SINCE THEN (3 MONTHS) EVEN WITH ANTIBIOTICS, HAVE HAD LOW GRADE FEVER AND NIGHT SWEATS,CHEST PRESSURE AND DIFFICULTY BREATHING,RAPID PULSE(108-130 RESTING),FATIGUE ETC. TESTS FOR HEART PROBLEMS,VALLEY FEVER,BLOOD CLOT IN LUNG ARE NEGATIVE. CHEST X RAY SHOWS A LEMON SIZED NODULE (L) SIDE LUNG. DR. SAYS DON'T WORRY ABOUT LUNG MASS AT THIS TIME. MY IMMUNE SYSTEM IS LOW (300),TESTS FOR AIDS,TB, ARE NEGATIVE. ANYBODY EVER RUN ACROSS THIS BEFORE? THIS IS GETTING REAL OLD REAL QUICK. THANKS FOR ANY IDEAS.

I had mono for 5 yrs, and my immune system is non-exsistant. Maybe you should visit and specialist? Get some 2nd and 3rd opinions and more options.

I would still go see a pulmonary specialist about the nodule on your lung. I hate to bring up the big "C" word, but are you sure it is not a tumor? I believe that cancer can cause problems with the immune system, but I am not sure. GOD forbid it is that. Plus, just seeing another dr. for a second opinion is a good idea, especially at this point. Good luck,

Elyse

P.S. you might also want to post your question on the lung disorders board or the rare diseases board.
