Re: does anyone hate crohns as much as me

Ok so i am not sure about crohns but can you maybe help me out or point me in the right directions. I have a 10 year old who we can not figure out what is wrong with her so we have done many many test to see including a colonoscopy last week, but see about 2 weeks ago they did a bunch of blood tests and i was told my daughter did not have celiac or crohns, they also did a bunch of other tests but then last week during the colonoscopy they said they found a small spot on her large intestine that looked maybe like crohns, can you tell me why it would be negative on a blood test but something like that then be detected on a scope? Sorry to bother you but just looking for answers.

moviestar,

Crohn's disease is an inherited Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Not all problems can be detected by blood tests.

A good exmple is Colon Cancer -- long before it shows up in the blood -- cancer cells can develop in the colon that can be seen and detected with a biopsy. That is why colonoscopy exam of your colon is so important.

crissy17,
The reason you hate Crohn's so much is that it messes up your life -- pretty badly!!
