Question PCOS and acne

Hi girls. Just wondering if anyone has/had a problem with acne relating to PCOS. I get very upset, with all of the breakouts I have ALL the time, especially now, when I am getting another little breakout session. The reason I am upset is because I am getting close to Monday-blood test day unless AF comes Sunday. I just so badly, like all of you, want a baby! I usually break out a week before AF, so I am not feeling very positive right now. I was using this one kind of medicated cream, dried up everything nicely. Ever since taking the clomid, I can't use the cream because of the reaction I get(burning and redness). Thanks for letting me vent!Does anyone have any info on this subject?????????? Jenfer

Jen,
I've always had pretty significant acne, and been diagnosed with PCOS. Did Accutane when I was in college, and it helped, though ttc and doing that is bad, they'll MAKE you go on birth control. Nowadays, I am using the whole Clinique facial ritual line, their toner lotion is great, and their oil free lotion is really light weight. Sometimes just a little change helps. Of course I'm still not clear. I feel the more hormonally on edge I am the worse my skin, probably a stress related tie in as well as hormones, but they go hand in hand on me. Then again, with our whacked out hormones, we might never be clean and clear, but at least I'm not getting the really deep painful OWWEE ones anymore.
Don't stress it so much. Those that love you will still love you with the acne, and it's only temporary.
I don't know if this helps you, but maybe it will help to know that you're not the only one who is breaking out like nobody's business.
Cathy

Jenfer, I think the clomid makes your skin do funny things. Last month when I took it my face was breaking out and I got 3 skin tags that had to be surgically removed. I never had one in my life. The dr said its from hormonal changes. Again this month I have a big red zit on my cheek. It is gross. I treated my self to a Nordstrom Spa facial. It was fabulous and helped clear up some of my skin. Go get a facial your face will love you for it. At Nordstroms they massage your feet and and hands and shoulders it is FABULOUS!!! If it doesn't clear up your face you will feel wonderful!
